We primarily sell grocery products, snacks, food items, beverages, household essentials and imported food products.

Due to the perishable nature of many products, returns are limited as described in this policy.


3. Non-Returnable Products

For hygiene, food safety and consumer protection reasons, we do not accept returns for:

  • Food and grocery products that have been opened
  • Products that have been consumed or partially consumed
  • Products returned due to personal taste preferences
  • Products ordered incorrectly by the customer
  • Products damaged after delivery
  • Perishable goods where storage instructions were not followed

4. Eligible Refunds and Replacements

We may provide a refund, replacement, or store credit if:

  • The product arrives damaged
  • The product is expired upon delivery
  • The wrong product was supplied
  • The order is incomplete due to our error
  • The product becomes unavailable after payment

All claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.


5. Reporting an Issue

Customers must email support@universalkart.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the affected product
  • Photographs of packaging where applicable

Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the claim being declined.


6. Refund Process

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

Refunds are normally processed within 5-10 business days after approval, depending on the customer’s bank or payment provider.


7. Order Cancellation

Customers may request cancellation before an order has been dispatched.

Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible.

We reserve the right to cancel orders due to:

  • Pricing errors
  • Product unavailability
  • Suspected fraudulent activity
  • Payment verification failures
  • Delivery restrictions

Where we cancel an order, a full refund will be issued.
